Status: Under construction
Year: 2017- present
Using a conceptual derivation of traditional cane weaving handicrafts, we created two main facets of the ground floor design of this solo high-rise. Portions of the driveway featured a simplified version of an elliptical weaving pattern while parts of the boundary wall railing were designed to emulate the natural striations of a series of bamboo tubes giving a true feel of ‘modern meets traditional’.
The terrace was tackled in a much simpler fashion consisting of a shaded walkway leading onto a cascaded water square relying on planting and hedging to ‘frame’ and ‘segregate’ spaces.
