The district headquarters and allied buildings of South 24 Parganas are getting relocated to Baruipur from Alipore making space for a large mixed-use development consisting of offices, housing, hotels, and clubs. The central 30 acres of open space is being planned as a large unified public park with a mix of active and passive recreation, connected through an idyllic geometry of circulation networks.
The landscape attempts to celebrate the Bengal Landscape through ponds, fields, and groves, creating an interesting interweaving pattern seen on a larger scale.
