Area: 4.2 acres
Client: Arch group
Architect: Raj Agarwal and Associates
Location: Chinar Park, Kolkata
Status: Under construction
Year: 2017 - present
Located in the heart of New town- ChinarPark, this typical residential complex towers above its surroundings creating a new landmark for the locality. Set against the hardship of prototypical city life, we have represented a serene style of living by introducing passive pockets of leisure-filled zones, while retaining a ‘STAR’-rated undertone. The ideation of our landscape has been derived from the phenomenon of ‘a freshly grown bud’.
The challenge here was to achieve a lush landscape over a large basement slab. A thorough understanding of the technical aspects- the load distribution of the slab & the drainage strategy for the subsoil, all lead to a complex design solution, which became an invisible guideline for the landscape design.
