Urbana Clubhouse, one of our dearest projects was presented to us as a beautiful sunken volume of space and our primary intention was to create a stunning visual garden.
The idea generated from the actual use of the garden, 'the break out space'. Hence the geometry of the garden was literally broken and coupled with the basic elements of a Zen garden combined to create the profile of the landscape. Using this abstraction as our reference the profile patterns were raised to different levels to create massive planter beds and lawn spaces. Some of the remaining ‘breaking-out’ profile was immersed into the floor to create paving patterns. In terms of activities, the Urbana Clubhouse was visualized as space where people would interact as well as engage in leisure activities like walking or jogging. As a part of one of our interventions, we also visualized a green creeper wall which would add to the ambience of the place further.
